Past Quilts

The first quilt I ever made was for our bedroom. It turned out to be much smaller then expected, but we still use it to warm up our feet!

The second quilt I made was for Graeme for our 2nd wedding anniversary - the anniversary of cotton. The back is fleece (so warm and cozy) and the front is of course, cotton.

The third and last (thus far) quilt I made was for my sister's 2nd birthday. This is my favorite of the three and I am quite proud of it.

  1. I'm so glad you posted these pics. I have been thinking a lot recently about making a quilt like these. Any tips for a first timer? :)

  2. I think the best advice I can give you is to be patient. They can take so much time, especially if you decide to quilt the pieces together as opposed to tying them (like I did with the first two I made). I also followed a pattern for the first one and then designed the patterns for the next two. I would definitely recommend using a pattern to start out. That way you can see how it's done. It's fun and I'm excited for you to make one! Too bad we don't live closer, we could have quilting days:)
